If you, too, are free thinkers on 2 wheels, lovers of nature, sports and places far from the insanity of each day, then this might be right up your alley.
Framed by the amazing Obetello, reaching the most hidden corners of the Maremma, on a mountain or city bike, for experts as well as beginners.
Unhurried, with the desire to seize every detail you can delve into the heart of the land with all 5 senses: smelling the fragrances of the season, seeing and hearing nature and its animals grazing out in the open, touching and in the end tasting products that are typical to the Maremma.
The bicycle excursions are open year-round; the paths differentiate themselves, based on length, slope and depth, and difficulty. We offer you a few alternatives here below.
Reservations are required and you can rent bikes of all types, many of the paths are even kid-friendly.

Anello della Feniglia -easy-
The path is 20km long, and starts at the center of Orbetello. The bike path runs along the lagoon and across the dam, the road connecting Orbetello to Monte Argentario dividing the two lagoons, and leads to Tombolo della Feniglia. There are simple paths that unwind with the chance of spotting wild boars or deer. The excursion ends at the sea where you can stop for a dip, or a picnic in the refreshing shadow of the pine forest.
Groups can take the tour starting from Tombolo della Giannella and embarking on the ferry Battello della Laguna to reach the center of Orbetello.

Forti Spagnoli -intermediate-
The basic path is about 20km long, which starts at Porto Ercole.
The excursion includes a visit of the tree fortresses: Forte Filippo, Forte Stella and la Rocca.

Monte Argentario and Convento dei Frati Passionisti -difficult-
This path, with some pretty steep hills, is about 25km long.
The path unwinds along the road of the Monte which ends at the antennas passing by the Convento dei Passionisti which has a snack bar, La Sorgente, where you can stop for a break.

With expert guide Stefano Spagnoli, Mountain Bike Guide, and other qualified Environmental Guides, you will be able to immerse yourself not only in the above-mentioned paths, but also in some more particular tours, from the Città di Cosa in Ville Settefinestre, the typical road de’ La Selva immersed in the countryside among the typical farms, Magliano and the Monastero di San Bruzio, Talamone with its bays, to arriving at the harbor of the Parco della Maremma, the Giardino dei Tarocchi with a refreshing break among the Capalbio countryside, and then Marsiliana with a visit to the Castello which hosts the private Museo di Arte Contadina and much, much more …
